Ozzy Osbourne died today, just over two weeks after performing his farewell concert, with Black Sabbath for 40,000 fans at Aston Villa stadium in Birmingham. He was 76 years old and a living legend in heavy metal music.

Gosh. I just heard about him doing that concert despite his Parkinson disease. May he rest in peace.
R.I.P Ozzy.

I watched the live stream of the concert. It was an emotional event, both for the audience and the musicians, including Ozzy.

A tremendous regret of mine is not having seen Ozzy perform over the years. Brilliant singer. His first two solo records with Randy would be enough to cement his place, but he delivered far, far more than just that.

He was definitively a force of nature. RIP and respect for the unique path he chose and was able to follow.

Mama, he's coming home.

Black Sabbath Vol. 4 was my introduction to real metal. It changed my life. Ozzy was a legend.

I'm glad he got that last concert in.

Some of you may appreciate this from The Babylon Bee:

A young Birmingham guy discovers Ozzy...:

....about two years after discovering Ozzy and having been to Ozzy's/Black Sabbath's last concert, he makes a really good documentary. I can recommend it:

Had to look for it, but still have it - Sad, good man, better than some of his immediate family, methinks.

RIP Ozzy, You were one of a kind and I doubt there will ever be another quite like you.
We traveled very similar roads at times and paid the price for our mis-adventures.
See ya on the other side.
