Hello fellow ASR members,
I recently bought an Ovidus B1. Waiting for it to arrive...
Its primary purpose will be car audio. I set the volume on the HiBy FC1 to maximum, so volume on the stereo itself doesn't need to be turned up more.
Its secondary purpose will be to drive low impedance/high sensitivity headphones.
Listening to redbook CD quality 16 bit/441 KHz and sometimes 320 kbps .mp3s.
My purchase was based on this subjective review, and a few others like it on the internet:

I could not find measurements to justify the high praise this device was receiving online. My worry is that despite the following specs:
DAC: AKM
Impedance: 60 ohms
Resolution: Up to 24-bit, 192 kHz
SNR: 108dB
Smartphone connector: USB-C
DAC output: 3.5 mm
Weight: 0.4 oz (10 g)
There may be spurious tones or other problems with it. I once bought a similar device that had distortion at low volume with IEMs and low impedance headphones.
Does anyone own this particular device? If so, how does it stack up? Any problems with it? Given its higher output power in mW, it should be even better for my car stereo.
Worth the money? MSRP is $140 USD.
