Original Rega Brio-R (2012) (50 watts per channel) versus Wiim Amp Ultra (100 watts)

After using just a Chromecast Audio (no external DAC) or a Justboom rPi Hat DAC (clunky) the past 10 years, I would like to improve my music streaming chain.

My initial thoughts were to buy a Wiim Ultra to replace the above, and plug into my existing Rega Brio-R (2012 model which is now a couple of generations old) which is feeding original Q Acoustic Q 3050 Floor Standing Speakers (92 dB)

I am not looking at going on a spending spree, but the thought of paying $200 more for the Wiim Amp Ultra compared to just the non-amp integrated Wiim Ultra is digestible. Would I be gaining a better amp over the Rega? (100 watts per channel versus 50 watts per channel)

At the moment my music sources are casting from a self hosted Navidrome server -> Symfonium App, or via a Yamaha CD-C600 CD player which may benefit from the Wiim DAC also.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Doubling the power gives you 3 dB higher peaks in SPL. Audibly this is not much at all, and it's only worth if you clip the Rega now and then.

WiiM's parent company Linkplay sells refurbished WiiM Ultra preamps with a 1-year warranty for $239 at their outlet store on Ebay. They go in and 'out of stock' regularly. AFAIK, Linkplay has not offered a refurbished WiiM Ultra Amp at this Ebay store.
