Original music may be posted here. >@^_*@<

When that rain kicked in I really thought I was hearing a downpour. This would be cool and trippy cruising downtown with this music playing in my earbuds.

Hi @Brian Hall. YouTube is maybe a easy way to post it? I don't know I never do that sort of stuff.

Brian, if you want to share music you might just export mp3 from your DAW.

I suppose you know mp3 files are much smaller than uncompressed audio data.
Did you try posting the mp3 here?

Edit: I attempted to attach an mp3 file. It seems the forum software will not accept it.

Posting Onedrive links. Recorded about 1983 or 1984 on a tascam 4 track recorder. The guitarist and I just messing around and making it up as we went along. It started with him playing the drums on a drum machine, just hitting the buttons. After that he played the lead part on one keyboard and I played on another keyboard.

I wrote this song after receiving the Time Magazine issue with Rock Hudson on the cover when it came out that he had Aids so sometime in the 80s. Two people, our guitarist and I recorded it on a Tascam 4 track recorder. The guitarist sang it and played two guitar parts. I played keyboards, bass and programmed the drum machine track.

For this one, someone had given us a brick of hashish. We smoked way too much of it and decided to write and record a song. Just the guitarist and I again. I wrote the lyrics and he came up with the music. It took about an hour to write and record it. "Pigeons from Hell". Probably 1984.

Edited to add: Just the guitarist singing and playing one guitar part, I played bass and just picked a drum pattern on the drum machine. (A Roland TR909 if I recall).

A long song call Reversions. A bad recording unfortunately. Too much treble and the microphone was not working well. Recorded around 1985. Again just the guitarist and I. I wrote the lyrics and we both wrote the music. He sang and played two guitar parts including some great lead guitar, just making it up as he went along. I played bass and keyboards. Don't remember what we did for the drum track. Nothing fancy.

Some of the lyrics for this song:

Smoking guns and bloody knives
Count to five then take a dive
The ground is soft you might not die
Now's your chance to learn to fly.

Too much pressure, its building up
And somethings got to give
All the sights and all the sounds
Its driving me insane.

Grinning faces with empty minds
A manical smile
Enigmas confuse you
The tie that binds

You’re all machines marching single file
Now raise your hands and curse the sky
It doesn’t help, you’ll all still die

Winds of change blow across the land
What is new and bought and sold
Winter gardens of frozen fruit
Tossed on boxes of dry cleaned suits

Please hold her tight and fly with the wind
They don’t know, but its got to end
Your children are playing their secret games
Singing the songs and reciting the names

Rituals forgotten but passed on down
Adults miss the meaning of a childhood frown
