Order of DSP processing, regarding AA and PEQ

I'm looking for general answers about how DAC, DSP processing occurs.

What is the typical order for a DAC/DSP in terms of processing the AA, PEQ parameters of the audio stream?

For example on a TRN Black Pearl using the cs43131, does the PEQ processing happen after the AA filter or before? Is it processed on up sampled (32b/384kHz) data or on the output stream before analog conversion?

Which has higher fidelity, the anti-aliasing digital filters? Or the PEQ processing?

If both are operated on higher sampled data, what is the advantage of the AA filter over the PEQ filter? Are they incompatible with each other or conducive together in providing the best output?

My guess is that PEQ should be applied on upsampled data, then AA applied in order to mitigate ringing effects due to down conversion.

I'm not an audio engineer. But I have investigated information science. So my guess is that PEQ is like an envelope process on the whole frequency range. While AA is a process of down sapling to avoid ringing on the initial lower recorded frequency, to up sampled frequency, processed data, down sample. The ringing occurring because of the digitization of the higher sampled data to lower sampled.

Thus, I guess the processing steps would look like:

Analogue->digital HF->saved lower (16/44.1 CD)->upsamp->PEQ processed ->AA filter->down sample->16/44.1->anologue jack

But I'm a novice
