Introducing the PecanPi® Streamer Ultra!!!

What is it?
It is our very highly reviewed PecanPi® Streamer (https://orchardaudio.com/pecanpi) with a built-in DAC, headphone amplifier, and the addition of a 5" touchscreen. All enclosed in a 14 gauge steel case that will be painted black.

• The front of the unit will feature the 5", TFT, 800x480 pixel display.
• The back of the unit will have all the connections; Ethernet, USB, XLR, etc.

Dimensions: 190 x 120 x 95mm (7.5 x 4.75 x 4in)
Weight: 2 to 2.5kg (4.4 to 5.5lb)

Is the streamer based off the Pi 4 8gb version?
Will it have an optical inpput (or just single USB) and a remote?
Or will it be controlled by smartphone/ipad only?
Also what wifi standard will it support (n, AC or AX)?
Is the screen just the standard 800x400 LCD seen in most car audio receivers, or will it have a higher pixel density, something akin to say a Samsung tablet or ipad mini?
Will it be able to handle 12-16tb external hard drives or will it be limited to 4TB like the SMSL streamers?
Will it have bluetooth 5.0 (or 5.2) capabilities?

You will be able to control it using the screen and a smartphone. Depending on the software choise you may also be able to use a USB remote control like this one: https://flirc.tv/more/flirc-usb

There is no wifi it is ethernet only. For wifi, you can use wifi to ethernet bridge like this one:

The raspberry pi itself does not have an external HD size limit. There may be a software limit by Volumio, Ropieee, etcs. You will have to check with them. I have not had any customers tell me that they cannot use their external storage.
