Opus files ?

So just to wrap it up and if someone is interesting, I convert all the files to opus 192kbps 48khz , for playing the files I try a few free iOS apps: Eddict player from Shangling doesn’t seams to like multiple folders, very slow and laggy, Hiby app works ok and Footbar2000 is a star, so the ugliest software wins, you just need to search the footbar2000 folder because isn’t visible but it will be visible as soon as you put something there, about 2100files = 10GB of storage taken, like I say, sounds great in BT, energetic and fun, so mission accomplished.

I also tried PowerAmp on my android DAP but opus didn’t sound good, maybe because it resamples the audio , Fiio apk doesn’t play opus on android and I didn’t figure out how to play files on IOS.

I converted a lossless track to Opus to test the transparency via Bluetooth, using Deltawave.

Here's what Finder returns when I drag my .opus file onto the iPhone 13 Mini (18.0.1):

I'd like to help @audiophilesnack, but don't know how.

just drag and drop the files to the iPhone storage, no questions asked but I didn’t use a computer, I connect the iPhone 15 pro directly to a hard disk drive and copy the files , then you need to put the files on the player folder you are using , on this case the Hiby folder

Once upon the time I did a comparison of lossy formats somewhere on ASR and wrote a lot about Opus. While lossy it's designed clever with hard 20 KHz limit and far less masking (up to 32 bit impulse alike responses depending on target complexity) two codecs and so on. You won't be able to hear difference especially not with BT (a good proper DAC LDAC high one).
However there are and brotherly codecs which are both lose less and losy reconstructive back to lose less (with metadata what whose shaved off). I don't cary libery on the phone, my DLNA server is on laptop. Fun fact if you want to transfer a lot to or from phone use WiFi.

Edit: while at it and before I forget about it I stumbled upon now legacy (regarding QC All Play at least) but still not abandoned app with ability to direct and output among such devices in BT/DLNA so if someone needs such.
