OPPO UDP-205 as a processor

Hello,

I have been thinking of turning my OPPO UDP-205 as a processor for a small room 5.1 surround sound music system.
Which multi channel amplifier would you suggest?
I have been looking at the following
- NAD M28,
- Parasound HALO A52+

The other option would be to just use pro powered speakers like Genelec the ONES but that becomes very expensive!

any other suggestions?

This can be done, I'm running a Oppo UDP 205 with Purifi amplifiers for a 7.1 system with phantom center,b4 switch to class D amplifier was using 3x Parasound Holo A23 amps.
Basic time alignment of 5cm incremental step for spks can be done with REW by adjusting the internal spks distance setup of Oppo,add a miniDSP 2x4 HD n u can do EQ on sub/s.

Great, how does it sound?

Sounds great for music/movie to me as well as friends that have demo my system who owned different processor from different maker that's why no desire to get a processor unless going for more channels in future or when the 205 reached it EOL.
U can make use of both ES9038pro dac chips inside the 205 by setting the analog stereo output to FL/FR n use the multi channels analog output for the rest.
