Oppo UDP 205 7:1 analog outs

How so? What is a "large speaker" In bass management language all that means is using a crossover between mains/sub.
Unless you are listening to organ music a speaker that reaches 30 Hz is great without a sub!

How I only have a Mac and no access to a Windows machine!

But who has a 5.1 system that has full range speakers ....

Luckily...me! This setup sounds fantastic with those new Rhino Quadio releases--and I don't have to worry about the subwoofer clip to boot. Everyone should check out the classic albums coming out in that format all this year.... Meticulously remastered of course.

These speaker sets are closing on a 25 years old... and I will have them both till the cones disintegrate because they sound so good. Definitely take advantage of the 205s enhanced analog outputs. That's the only way you get the much-superior Sabre Pro DAC implementation rather than the mid- range AKM in the 203.

I have a Marantz SR6014, and an OPPO 205, and want to use my analog ins/outs with these devices on surround material (including Quadios) which doesn't have dedicated .1 info. Do I just forfeit anything below 60 hz?

I have the speaker sizes on my 205 all set to "large" with "sub" set to "on." The 5.1 analog output from the 205 is then fed to an Outlaw ICBM (all-analog bass manager) where my speakers are treated as if they were small, due to me setting the low pass frequency for all my speakers to 80 Hz there. So, in the end, I have > 80 Hz going to my speakers, along with < 80 Hz going to my subs (along with the LFE channel). The analog output from the ICBM is then fed to a multichannel analog preamp and then to a multichannel amp. Everything is still analog with this setup.
