OPPO DVD

I have an OPPO BD93 DVD player which is working fine but the remote control is not working at all (a victim of hot weather and Philippines humidity has finally taken its toll).

Any thoughts on where/how I can find a replacement (preferably an original but a workable universal remote would also suffice).

It's more a universal player than just a dvd player (in that it also plays bluray and other optical discs). They are still offering Oppo service in the US, willing to ship? If it's just the remote not functioning you might find something more universal to help out like old Logitech units.

You can no longer ship a player to Oppo for support. This ceased last May.

From the official Oppo thread at another forum:

OPPO Service in California is, indeed, in the process of shutting down. They are no longer accepting units (any model) for repair. They hope to continue providing Q/A support to the extent that can be done entirely via email. It’s not clear how long that will last.

Didn't know that, last I looked it was still operational. Just checked the page and the repair facility info is gone now. Oh well, hope my 203 doesn't develop issues in any case

Thanks all for the responses. I have located a universal remote that is compatable with the BD93 through a local website so fingers crossed I'll have some success
