In fact, I bought the high-end operational amplifier of FOSI! The instrument measurement indeed shows no difference at all, but the sound does have some distinctions, hhh.

There's also an interesting phenomenon that there are just too many types of operational amplifiers in this world, and it seems that the vast majority of them have no essential differences...

A thorough comparison.

What other factors do the comments suggest contribute to the perceived difference? What's left on the list?

Does it work Great on other amps as well??
:D

Despite the truth backed up by mesurements, you will still read today and tomorrow audiophiles hearing stuff after "tweaking" their amps or dacs ...
And these people spend their time on forums sharing their believes .. close minded to truth but bringing into their believe some additionnal weaked minded people looking for believes

It will never stop

Belief is a powerful thing. They have experienced a difference even if it is due to error or imagination so nothing in scientific testing like this will convince them. Same for the people buying USB reclockers or power conditioners. Hopefully people that are new to the hobby will find information like this before wasting their money.

Same thing .... performance of the amplifier is limited by the class-D output stage.
Whatever slight differences there are in actual op-amp performance (at the output of the op-amp) they are totally 'masked' by the higher distortion of the class-D output stage behind it.

Now... what could be interesting is using the Sparkoss in the Fosi P4
There you may actually see/measure (but not hear) differences when swapping op-amps.

The plot below is interesting for the technical minded as it shows the switching frequency of the class-D output (600kHz) with a good suppression (112dB or so) of the switching frequency.

With nearly 900 comments on the original youtube video, we made pretty good progress for many people who are not entrenched in such beliefs.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: worry about things that actually matter.

This second test found everyone in agreement on the op amp myth. At least we will have several sources to share for the illusionists)
