Onkyo RZ50 doesn't see my media server drive

I have a fairly new TP-Link router that has a USB port to connect a drive to it and share it as a media server. Every device I have connected to that router, either by ethernet or wi-fi, sees it perfectly and plays files just fine, whether it's a video, or music, it just works. It appears on all devices as "TP-Share", and it's not an SMB server, it's a proper media server seen as that by every device. It doesn't need to authenticate. On my PC, I only need to mount it as an SMB drive when I need to change the contents, like when I buy a new album and add it there. But Windows 11 also sees it as a media drive.

I just got an Onkyo RZ50, and still setting it up, but I wanted to see if I could play music from the drive directly. But when I pressed the Net button on the remote and went down to Music Server, I could only see "No Servers". I did all the usual things, like rebooting the router, unplugging and plugging the Onkyo back on. I updated its firmware yesterday as soon as I got it. The router also has the newest firmware.

So I checked the manual, and it doesn't have a lot of information. This is all it says:

Streaming play of music files stored on PCs or NAS devices connected to the same network as this unit is supported.
• The network servers this unit is compatible with are those PCs with players installed that have the server functionality of Windows Media® Player 12, or NAS that
are compatible with home network functionality. When using Windows Media® Player 12, you need to make the settings beforehand. Note that with PCs, only music
files registered in the library of Windows Media® Player can be played.

I don't have a NAS server. This drive connected to the router is seen as a UPnP DLNA server on all the devices. As for Windows Media Player 12, I launched it and followed the instructions to enable media streaming. After a while, I saw the server appear in the Onkyo, but the implementation is downright awful. If I load an album, it displays all the tracks in alphabetical order. These are albums on FLAC that I purchased at eithe HD Track, Qobuz or Band Camp, and they all have their metadata including the track number. These are not albums that I ripped from CD to WAV or MP3 without any metadata information. Even the CDs that I ripped to that folder have all their metadata, all of which shows in the different devices I load them on. My guess is that the Windows Media Player 12 can't read metadata from FLAC files, and it makes me wonder why Onkyo would choose such an obsolete media server format for a high end AVR that correct me if I'm wrong, was launched in 2022, correct? If I'm wrong about this feel free to let me know. I didn't read the whole manual, but I did a search for upnp and nothing came up, then DLNA and nothing come up. I just don't understand why Onkyo would release even their cheapest receiver in 2022 without a technology that has been around for what? 20 years? More?
