Got the monoblocks in. Ready to get things hooked up and cranked up.
I am currently running a 20 year old Onkyo TX-NR900, I also have a Denon AVR2600, of about the same vintage. Opinions on which one would be the best preamp out to the V3s!

Either one should be fine (assuming they are working properly) so pick the one with the features you like or the one that looks best. ;)

Or if you're playing records the one of the phono preamps may have less noise than the other. (Line level signals are "easy".)

A good rule of thumb for properly matching amplifier and preamplifier is to check the preamplifier output impedance and the amplifier input impedance. Also check the voltage at one output of the two preamplifiers (V RMS).

This just for two ch use? If so doubtful any meaningful difference. If multich setup and just powering L/R with external amps, might be more about any differences in feature set between the two avrs that are meaningful and maybe which power supplies you chose for the amps.
