So I got my hands on a working Onkyo m560rs. Sounded great. Volume pots were a little gritty and the lamps for the meters would turn off after a few seconds.
Opened it up, sprayed some contact cleaner in the pots, smooth as butter and still sounding great.
Next was the lamps. Whipped out the multimeter and wanted to check how much voltage was getting to the lamps. Figured it "should" been none, cause a relay would click right before the lamps would turn off. Touched one of the lamps with my probs, lamp quickly got brighter and system turned off....
Now, from a cold start, the system will turn on for a sec and then power off. I don't hear any relay click at all.
I removed the relay connected to the lamps, and checked it. It seems to be working properly. Any ideas? I think it might be a cap, since it powers on for a sec and then dies, but I can't figure out what cap it is.
