Onkyo A-9110 ( with smls ps 200 ) vs Yamaha R-S202D vs Yamaha A-S301 – best choice for a low-cost setup?

If you're looking for good/best power output, then I agree with @markic that the Yamaha A-S301 is the best option of the models listed so far.
@billou5767 you seem averse to the 30W per channel @ 8ohm power rating of the Onkyo / Cambridge Audio / Rotel
and you also seem averse to the TPA3255 amplifiers, so here's another option - Marantz PM6007. I see it for 370 Euros -

And for a little more than 400 euros, there's a used Wiim Amp Ultra, in my country, don't know where are you from, but its very good all in one solution with good measurements. New is 499 euros.

@Svend P Read few pages, but don't agree with everything, becuase I tried many DAC and saw difference, in dynamics, detail presentation, noise floor etc, not night and day, but noticable. Example is Topping E70 Velvet, USB conncetion is much better (if you use some entry streamer) because have a great for the price reclocker inside it, than COAX/Toslink. So doesn't agree with some thing on thread. Currently not using any DAC then one integrated in amp, because doesn't have space anymore for separates, and miss it.

@linuxfan Tried CA AXA35 (not on my sistem btw) and sounds very good.

@billou5767 Just saw 9110 have less power the 9130, not by much, but 9130 drives Q350 without problem, think will be same with 9110. Tried Fosi ZA3 and don't like it, sound flat somehow, I prefer some A/B class in entry level section. Aiyima A20 looks promising and have lpf/hpf, which is rare in entry class, if you plan to use a sub, it's a great thing.

Another great combination is, if you have something to use as a preamp. That SMSL PS200/PRO with Wiim Vibelink or Emotiva A2L+, both amps sounds great for the price, and definitly better then Onkyo which I had, both tried with Q350 in my room.

What is your source?

i have wiim amp pro during 3 week , after he die , not 100 % sure i like them

not averse , but Q350 are 86 db i thing , need power

@billou5767 That's a bad thing to hear, 3 week is short period to die First time to hear for some of Wiim product is defective, maybe is just that unit.

Vibelink gets hot on my sistem with Q350, but not so much, moderate hot
But Emotiva A2L+ was almost completly cold in same setup.

What is your room size? Mine is 17-8 m2 and even Onkyo A9130 was enough for Q350.

Yeah that's what I was hinting at in post #22 - the KEF Q350's sensitivity of 87dB is typical of a bookshelf speaker, and 30W per channel of continuous amplifier power with decent current delivery should be fine to drive them.

I'm mainly interested in sound quality and musicality, rather than extra features or maximum power.

For a small budget, which combination would you choose, and why?

I still have a A-S301 and at prices below 200 € used I'd buy it again anytime. Great sound. Will make a nice combo with that DAC.

The R-S202D I'd skip because a) LS terminals and b) too much other stuff in the case.

The Onkyo I don't know.

Service manual is available in net. Power amp schmatic looks very outdated. I would skip too, even if it sounds ok.

i dont want the best and hear a fly at 10 km , but i am a headphone man : sony V5 , stax 404 , shure 1440 , meze 99 , shure aionic 50 : i am an old man but have a little think good is the challenge

I am very satisfied with the Onkyo 9110 amp. > Elac B5.2 speakers and a subwoofer.
I use it for TV and have a Bluetooth receiver for listening to music from my iPad on Tidal.
Very good value for money.
My wireless Logitech Harmony remote works through the closet doors so no black boxes in view.
