apart of the pro-ject ones what other models are available for on-wall mounting? I am looking for introductory models that can be mounted on wall as there is a lack of space in my room.
Budget below 1k.

Thanks a lot

Did you mean a turntable that plays records vertically?
Otherwise, any turntable can be placed on the wall on a suitable shelf...

You can get some of the older technics SL direct drive linear trackers than can be mounted on a wall, or get the version that stands upright, but you probably aren't looking into older gear.

a million years age, there was a turntable that could play records, right side up, upside down or sideways.
They had a rotating display at hi-fi shows.

You could put one of these on a shelf:

Vestax PVT-e2. Can't just play records (almost) vertically, but also cue and scratch them. Spring loaded tonearm. Sadly, they're pretty much unicorns.

If you're planning on wall mounting a shelf for the turntable, make sure it's a structural weight bearing wall. It will be less prone to foot fall vibrations. Regas and other lighter plinth turntables like the Pro-ject should all be fine.

3M back in about '75 made a turntable (at least in the lab) that had an active servo on the tracking force. They used a strain guage dc coupled cartridge to provide the force sense. You could play it vertically, horizontally, or even upside down. Not a successful product probably because of the severally limited selection of phono cartridge.

Too high budget but the Miniot is quite nice.

Dual's tonearms were so well balanced in all planes that if the bearing was inverted to allow it, the decks could play upside down. Dual used to have ine of their models (1229?) set up in a display case with mirror in th ebottom and deck playing on repeat upside down in the top.

Good reasons NOT to get a turntable! :D :D :D
Plus they are technically inferior to digital, outdated, and vinyl is expensive (assuming you don't already own it).
