Hi guys,
I used to use my Google Pixel 5 with I think Android 13 and the Fiio X3 2nd gen as DAC with success. I had high res of about 192khz with UAPP connect with Tidal.
Today I tried UAPP with my Pixel 6A, but it seems that everything is played in 48khz even if the source is 44/16 bits and my DAC displays only up to 96khz/24 even if the source in UAPP is 192khz/24.

Any of you guys have any idea on a workaround? Android 14 fault?

Thanks

I can't see it being Android 14. Check all the settings are correct within the UAPP app.

Thanks pal,
My settings are that think are important are;
Hi res direct driver
Auto start USB Dac on attachment
Bit perfect mode on
Up sample off
Use USB Dac on

Any suggestions?

FiiO X3 and X3-II are both limited to 96kHz so 192kHz files are always reproduced as 96kHz also in DAC mode.
FiiO just states which formats are supported (AFAIK)
I have (and use) both but not as a USB DAC.

Really? Specs state 24-bit/192 kHz and if I recall correctly in my PC it goes up to 24/192.
Also funny thing is that it plays lower res content in 48khz even if the source is 44/16

48 is Androids default. Only if you have a media player player bypassing the Android audio stack and using USB audio, other sample rates are possible.

Yes! It seems it is still using the android driver instead of bypassing them with USB Audio Player Pro

There is a setting for that.
Also did you check settings of your streaming service?
