My order is #371 so a few weeks to go I guess.

I haven't reached out for a estimated date as I'm sure they are very busy...

I've got it!
I have issues with DSD256 though, it does not recognize it properly, it says it PCM 32 bit, 352 kHz. I am using Auralic Aries streamer, and it worked fine with my Auralic Vega dac.
Does anyone known what to do about it?

Received my Okto Stereo yesterday. I added RPi with RoPieee and running ROON.
My Stereo setup with custom Ncore+Purify amps and LX-521. Very happy so far.

Very nice...I have maybe the 4th or 5th pair of LX521 that was started when SL let the plans out. Build Log <-here. Now updated to the .4 with hairball ASP. Running Orion's and LXmini plus Pluto too from time to time. SL is sadly missed but celebrate his designs everyday :)

Where are you located? Looks like UK plugs down there.

It seems Okto Research is experiencing serious problems manufacturing DAC8 Stereo units. They have not yet shipped my order placed Jan. 23 this year. :-( Mine is #309... I think I'll have to wait several weeks more...

I think so to. Mine was #281 delivered one weeks ago, 19 weeks after I placed order.
Order placed 2020-12-27, delivered 2021-05-14.
Silver non streaming.
I heard (yesterday) that order 283 haven't been shipped out yet.
So if your order is #309, I hope you get it before christmas.

I tried miniDSP for a year. Last year I built ASP and 8 channel amps specifically to pair with OKTO Stereo. You can see, I selected same cases even.

I'd be interested to hear of any digital crossover/eq solution you wind up employing to replace your ASP and/or miniDSP 4 x 10.
Very pleased with ASP and don’t have any plans for digital crossover solution, hence opted for okto stereo otherwise would have gone with dac8 pro.

I have followed your build log with other’s from oplug forum when I built my LX521.4 :D

Happy to be of service, Another friend of mine has them too my build followed hot on his heels as I ordered my drivers and plans after helping him complete his build and got to listen for the first time beside his Orions.

I managed to score an all but 4 days old OKTO DAC8 Stereo today from a friend running roon. Solved the waiting for a unit issue.

Side by side with A/B volume matched its not too different on a quick listening session to my Lumin D1. But the Hairball ASP I have is only RCA in not balanced so I have some adapter cables - not ideal but its probably going to end up driving something different in the future.

Is your ASP using a fully balanced to single end conversion?

Oh and yes I saw the UK just after I posted

I’m using combination of Bruno’s preamp with balanced volume control and Hairball balanced input circuit. RCA out from ASP circuit fed to ncore/purify amps using balanced netrik connection but pin 3 is connected to ground at ASP end.

Did contemplate converting ASP output to balanced to match amps but my arrangement works well without any ground loop noise. May make them balanced in future.

Yes, I did start out using the miniDSP4x10 (actually the old 2x8 board with digital input daughter board, but essentially the same thing). I then bought an inexpensive M-Audio M-Track8 and built the xovers/eq in JRiver, just to see how software x-overs would work compared to a hardware solution. This worked fine and gave me the impetus to buy a better 8 channel DAC (Mytek ADDA8x192 as I also have a TT). The Mytek is very versatile, but not cheap. I still have the Mytek, but have been using the Okto DAC8 Pro for 2 years now. I'm not sure if I could tell the difference between the Mytek and the Okto if level matched. However, the Okto is dead quiet - no hiss with my ear against the LX521s at all. The Mytek has a small amount of hiss, but the output level could be higher, I haven't checked. One big difference is that at power amp turn on (Apollon NCMP8350) there is no turn on pop when using the Okto, vs a slight pop using the Mytek.

I've also built the xovers/eq in Acourate (no DRC employed) which sounds identical to me to the xovers/eq done in JRiver and the measured transfer function for both these is the same as miniDSP. I've since got a good result using Acourate's DRC, but it took me quite some time to get it to my satisfaction, particularly in the bass.

@Burning Sounds - sounds almost exactly like my journey but my middle man was a Motu instead of a Mytek. I agree on the total silence of the Okto and having a remote is great.

Order #335ish in black here on ETA again:
According to Okto Research their production is slower than estimated and it will probably take them until end of month to dispatch my unit.
