Okto Dac8 Pro alternative?

Looking at the manual of the Hapi Mkii.
Once equipped with 2 DA8(P) modules , it seems that one can output at the same time 16 analog channels and a copy of some or all channels via the aes/ebu output.

Is that correct?
Yes.

Fantastic! I saw a Mkiii should be released before the end of the year with Dante.

Now how do we switch between multiple 9-16 channel devices? Double Coleman 7.1SW? Anything else new on the market I'm not aware of?

Also I wish there were a db25 to 8 x XLR connectors converter. Something we could directly plug in at the back of the unit. For people like me with the rack along the front wall, I only need 3ft to reach monoblocks for front L/C/R while I need 20/25 ft to reach the monoblocks along the rear wall. Looks like a bespoke cable is needed.

For 'long' runs I like a good shielding. With db25 the per-channel cables are usually very thin.

DB25 switches.

??? What do you mean? A DB25-to-XLR snake? They come in analog and AES/EBU versions.

DB25 switches.

Any manufactured to high standards you could recommend? I'm afraid 'simple' ones will create noise when switching. Not even mentioning cross-talk issues.

Something like a small box maybe db25 to 8 XLR connectors. Little bear type if you see what I mean.

I have not but I have not really tried. What I have done is to use a M-M DB25 block to manually connect/switch among DB25-XLR snakes.

Afraid not.

Silent switching (advertised as) but expensive with other features:

And also that one

I only realised 2 days ago that Coleman audio didn't exist anymore. So the SW7.1 is not an option anymore.
