OK, what are you guys buying yourselves for Christmas?

A 32" Eizo 3240x monitor, and since my 12 year old Asus G55VW (silent gaming laptop) was not able to play a 4k video in m.objects (multivision show program), a new one was required. Those are much noisier than my old one, but I found one on the silent side: HP Omen 17-db0079ng (typing on it right now).

Christmas sweater. Have a nice Xmas Breakfast.

Ima bit late ... I bought a $199 upgrade for our MiniDSP Flex: Dirac Live. Spent all afternoon hunting for USB cables and extenders, mic stands, doing sw/fw updates, and trying to figure out where to put the 17-points with only that diagram to guide. Total drag. Results: Top Dog. Big even bass and overall more clear and open(?). Very nice. Big improvement over my PEQ filters made in REW. I think. Idk. Can't compare since I lost my old presets somewhere in the milti-stage firmware updates.

Life is a blur of IT support.

I was strongly considering the previously mentioned Henry lever action 22 rifle, but ended up ordering a Headrush Core guitar and vocal processor.

The more I thought about it the guitar processor made more sense from a “getting used” point of view. I just don’t have the spare time to go to the range and plink some targets. It’s bad enough that I love to shoot skeet, but am averaging 1 trip to the range per year. Maybe when I retire in a few years…..
The Core Headrush turned out to be a real treat. Basically can do pretty much anything effect pedals, amplifier clones, speaker cabinet clones, etc. You can even clone a pedal, amp, or speaker cabinet you already have. Haven’t played with the vocal capabilities yet or loading songs to learn - there is a lot to learn. I have made up 2 custom rigs so far - pedal, amp, speaker cabinet setups that sound better than any previous pedal combinations tried previously. Astonishing what you can get nowadays for $600!

An Elekit TU-8400 tube amp with KT-77 and Mullard preamp valve.
This is a fantastic amp to power Headwreckers.
Added a CSS SDX12 with dual passives powered by FOSI M-01.
A perfect match of components.
