OK, what are you guys buying yourselves for Christmas?

Don’t really need it, but maybe upgrade the source on my Genelec 8030c desktop setup from an unbalanced JDS Atom stack to a Topping D50 III to EQ out a 50 hz room mode and have a balanced signal chain.

Awaiting a L-C-R trio of KH-150's (buy 2 get 1 free ;) ). Expected to be my biggest upgrade yet.
Arrived! Just waiting to finish up the swap and then re-calibrate/re-shoot the system. They are a good bit more compact then the ~24 year old Dynaudio AIR-15's they replaced (especially on the depth which is a big win for me), and I'll be running the center in proper vertical orientation - so I'm also having to re-configure the TV and a secondary NVR monitor due to the new height they will be at (center will be vertical under the TV causing it to be approx 4-5" higher than before).

I'm stoked!!! I had the old AIR-15's in my system since 2009 (purchased used and required thousands in module repairs through the years) - so it's been a long time coming!

Ai overview...............

A sugar daddy is a wealthy, older man who gives money or gifts to a younger person in exchange for companionship or a sexual relationship. The younger person is often referred to as a "sugar baby".
The term "sugar daddy" comes from the slang term "sugar" for money and the colloquial term "daddy" for father. The "sugar" in the term refers to the gifts' sweetening role, and "daddy" refers to the age difference between the two people.

Well I bought myself an smsl DL100, and a few amps of the finest Brax persuasion… including two new rx2 pro with digital input and purifi eigantakt technology inside

OK. That is really creepy and gross.

I hope it would be allowed duplicating here my post #251 on the remote thread.:D

Six of safe accurate robust 22 Ohm(Ω) 30 W non-inductive non-polar wirewound power-type metal-clad resistor (FHN50-22OHMF, PCN Corporation, made in Japan), (the background scale-sheet is 1 cm lattice), for renewal/replacement of present rather fragile(?) ones.

Where and how will they be utilized in my audio chain?
You may guess my coming fun DIY plan during Christmas to New-Year Holidays, if you would kindly and carefully read and observe my post #931 on my project thread.
The latest system setup of my DSP-based multichannel multi-SP-driver multi-amplifier fully active audio rig, including updated startup/ignition sequences and shutdown sequences: as of June 26, 2024: #931

The details of my such DIY work will be shared on my project thread soon, hopefully within a few weeks.

For Xmas I’ve bought myself a new turntable for my second system. Primarily it will be used for performing vinyl ripping and some listening via headphones.

Pro-Ject Debut Revolve. Very pleased with it.

I was considering getting some new speakers for myself this Christmas, as I was short of a pair. Though a week or two back I dug out my old Castle Conway III towers and tidied them up. Unfortunately they now sound really good and I'm using them as my regular speakers. So lost my excuse to splurge the cash, dammit. :(

Though as my old De'Longhi bean-to-cup coffee maker was failing I spent some money on new coffee kit -

Maybe I'll work out how to get a good cup of coffee out of it by Christmas Day? :D Or get a replacement De'Longhi in the January sales. :)
