i bought myself a wyred4sound stp-se stage 2. i was going to go for a goldpoint. but i splurged for a wyred unit. anyone else get one or recently get one who liked it?

tell me you’re an American without telling me you’re an American

:eek:;)

Yes I am! I also have the (very charming I'm told) tendency to burst out in impromptu chants of "USA! USA! USA!" while pounding on any conveniently nearby surface. Common situations include whenever my favorite team scores a touchdown, or a movie scene contains a US flag, the host serves the meat course at dinner, someone mentions Saddam Hussein, when the bride walks down the aisle, etc. But otherwise you'd really have no idea.

Santa came early :)

FiiO KB1K integration with foobar2000 global hotkeys was very easy to do.

I bought myself a Tube Amp kit.

The delivery is due tomorrow, I might set it up in my spare time.

Not surprisingly, it can light up and decorate my countertop on a cold night!

After a long hiatus, I am going to start playing my axe again (1995 Hamer standard Korina that I have owned since new ***).

BUT... Her Indoors is not up to my loud drunken antics as she was a while ago so have just cobbled together a cheap substitute for my amp:

Boss FZ5 Fuzz -> Behringer DR600 Reverb -> steinberg ur12 -> head phones.

This is really also my first foray into effects... just used the natural overdrive in my amp before (trying to live the Blues ethic of no/limited effects)

So should be fun as I bugger around with knob settings to find my new sound. For example, have no clue if reverb before or after the fuzz box matters... so will find out.

Peter

**** I am SHOCKED at how much a mint condition 1995 Hamer standard Korina will fetch on the 2nd hand market

Thinking about putting a bow on and then unboxing for the second time my Rotel 6000 after impulse buying for half price a pristine Yamaha 2200 because I always wanted meters….

I’m happy with my reproduction setup, so I decided to pick up Embodme’ Erae2 (a pretty cool controller) and a cheap bass to learn on.
