I've been encountering the story lately about how Schiltz was America's best and best selling beer.
And then the suits made a change in the recipe that "nobody would notice". Because if you're selling the best-selling product in America, of course you want to change it to something else.
Of course, sales crashed and the company pretty much went out of business.
I think about this when I read about cable deniers, or cable "reviewers" who measure insignificant parameters. They're sure that there's no difference. Wire is wire. Nobody would notice.
Now, people aren't as particular about their hi-fi's as they are about their beer, but I think that there's some kind of observation that could be made here.
