Just a simple high quality DAC with balanced outputs and sub out with high and low pass... Is it that hard to just want.

There's so many dacs on the market and they're all the same. All the high end dacs with fancy dsp and filters and they still can't just add 1 sub output and utilize the dsp??? I have faith in either Fosi or Luxsin for the next 2.1 DAC. Fiio might have the chance but I never see them really connect with forums or posts.

There are many 2.1 mini amps on the market now which is great but I don't need an amp since I run active speakers. I'm counting on luxsin as I really love their designs but I may have to wait another year or more for a mid budget compact option IF they even decide to make a simple 2.1 DAC all in one unit.

Just get one of the WiiM devices…

Not balanced as OP requested.

I think the minidsp htx would work.
For 1k dollars it's HUGE for a desktop setup. Plus no headphones out. At that point I might as well get Luxsin X9. Wiim is cool and all but no balanced outputs and no USB in. I know there's coax but eh. What I like about desktop dacs is their just pretty compact for under monitor or depth of desk etc.

Oh it's for a desktop? So has to be small and also have a headphone amp? And balanced, and sub out with bass management?

There might be fewer people that need that device than you think.

What you're asking for is essentially a 2-In/3 (or 4) out.
It would be trivial to be just that, lots of interfaces around do that.

The problem is the on-board DSP you're asking, which must be applied to each output channel individually.
Think about the horsepower a nice one will need to meet your demands (I guess that your asking something at the -110dB THD+N area) and to be equally nice after applying a (sane) filter stacking.

Motu has several interfaces that might work. Some offer hardware DSP so can do all the bass management on-device. Like many of these interfaces, the headphone output is not super powerful, though.

Raspberry pi, Camilla dsp and USB sond card or hat hifiberry 8 channels.

Which is a reason I kind of want to move away from interfaces. Don't get me wrong current focusrite sounds good and nothing against it but idk. I just wanna get a nicer hp amp. Plus I really don't wanna mess with PC software for crossovers. I hear mixed reviews and it seems complicated for me or how to install or route. I hear some people have issues sometimes also

Have you considered any of the 4-channel studio DACs? Like the Scarlett 4i4 4th gen
Yeah but no Bluetooth and I HAVE to use my pc for music and also have to mess with PC software for crossovers

Sure it's not the BIGGEST market but people who buy these all in ones also run speakers or active monitors at their desk setup. There's also people who run under desk subs like svs or etc. I don't see why people wouldn't want that. On the Luxsin forums and YouTube reviews about x9 I see people always asking about sub out and if it high passes and those are legit selling points to them if they buy or not. Even on luxsins own forums they've added firmware updates specifically about sub out settings because people ask for them. It might be small but it's still a gap in the market
