O-Noorus D3 PRO - A new TPA3255 PFFB amplifier with DAC

Hello Roa :)

"Everyone sees noon at their door" as we say here (in France)...

The choice depends on each person, it is not necessarily better than another but if we do it it is because we preferred it: it is human ;)

Whilst I kind of welcome the drive for cheaper stuff from China, there is usually a limit from whereon things start to suffer, be that quality control (quality of device/components), software, updates etc. ... take your pick. The chinese are not stupid. Try to 'rip them off' and you normally get what you deserve.

Better pay a little more (Wiim etc).

My 2 pence.
Yeah, even the product passes the tests well, still the quality and the reliability could be an issue. If only you have to send back the product to China, it costs a fortune from Europe. Frankly speaking, we know the quality of Aiyima A80, but do not know the O-Noorus products... So yeah, the early bird price seems reasonable to me.

I have had an O-NOORUS D1 amplifier for a little over 7 month and I have never had any problems with it.

The latter stays on permanently so that my PC can have sound when it wakes up from sleep.

I would like to point out that I am naturally very sensitive to the cold and that my workroom at a constant temperature of 30°C (don't laugh):

the amplifier in its rather "extreme" conditions reaches a temperature recorded on the top of the case (@ 20 cm) with a laser device of maximum 42.6°C, which is a completely normal temperature compared to the ambient temperature ->

Max. temp. (Room @ 30°C, HR 60%).jpg

So as far as I'm concerned, I have nothing to say about the reliability of my O-NOORUS amplifier :)

Bypassing the DAC means erasing the very essence of a "power DAC" in which case I would fall back on a "power amp" like the X30Z (TPA3255) which has a USB C input.
i tried the x30z, don't, it has coil whining from the box, possibly from the integrated psu. I told brzhifi seller that they need to glue the caps and inductors. and that psu inside only has 36v to make it not so hot. chip is not touching the case for x30z.

Thank you, ah, sounds like a questionable/poor assembly process, in (critical) circuit positions/parts, doesn't it? Did you keep it or return it?

Note that with Caps, simply raising them 1mm or so above the PCB can alleviate (even dramatically) these vibration/noise issues and they also run cooler.... without gluing where the gluing could cause them to run hoter and shorten their life span/failure rate :=)

that coil whining is noticeable, affecting tremble frequency, because u have to put it nearby the speaker or face it, u really don't want it at night when volume is lower. so I refuned and returned it immediately, I recorded a video for them, brzhifi is a nice company no drama at all.

I can't say much about its sound quality since it doesn't matter anymore, and I don't remember its sound compare with the BRU5. but when I replaced the berrybak bru5 with D1, the sound improvement is quite noticeable, even my wife could hear it.

Hello everyone :)

I contacted Alexander yesterday, who informed me that the O-NOORUS D3 PRO was in production ;)

The D3 Pro was supposed to be released on March 1, but it probably won't be April 1 when the O-Noorus D3 Pro is released.
So the question remains for @Alexander Lin (and only for him): When can we expect the O-Noorus D3 Pro to be released?

Hey @Alexander Lin

Since the amplifier is still under process of manufacturing.
I have a suggestion.
Please add a loudness option also.
Bass treble options are also good.
But I think loudness option will be a better option for music listener.
The option is supported in the volume ic being used you just have to enable it in system.

Thanks.

There is treble bass adjustable, and loudness is what you want to achieve.

Is now on the website but is declared as sold out

Coming soon... ;)

Hello @Alexander Lin
When and at what price will it be possible to order the D3 Pro?
It is now on the O-Noorus website, but it is not possible to order it.

We are testing the final parameters, which will take two days and the price is about $199

Thanks for the Info

Has anything changed in the circuit topology, components and PFFB design in relation to the TPA3255 amplifier design compared to the D1?

200 Dollar is expensive.
Please reconsider prices.
200 dollars is expensive?
That's pretty much on a par with the already cheap competitors, with sometimes better ICs for DAC and Bluetooth.
