These graphs look excessively smoothed (1/3 octave?).
This is the results of the reviewer using gated measurements and thus sacrificing resolution, because he does not have access to an anechoic chamber or Klippel NFS.
Since the Nova still uses a wide dispersion baffle (which is fine if engineered correctly), I find it hard to believe there are zero anomalies in the frequency response.
The roundover of the baffle edges has been increased and the nominal midrange diameter has been doubled from 52mm with the Nuvero 60 to 101mm with the Nuvero Nova 9. Also the midrange now has an additional frontplate that functions as a shallow waveguide and that the Nuvero 60 did not have. Would still be interesting to see higher resolution frequency responses, but it seems Nubert did overhaul some things that caused problems with the Nuvero 60.
Also, we’re only seeing the horizontal dispersion data. Getting horizontal dispersion "kind of right" is the bare minimum for a speaker; vertical dispersion is where elite speakers truly separate themselves from the pack.
As a general rule for tech reviews: if a metric isn't explicitly shown, it's probably because the results are poor, and I'd bet that's the case here.

Also, why fixate on the look or size of the crossover? Performance is all that matters. A KEF Reference crossover looks like a WWII circuit board, but it gets the job done flawlessly.
I think it's cool they are build like tanks: 20,5kg/45 pounds per speaker, 48mm/2 inch baffle, Panzerholz bottom, internal threads everywhere instead of wood screws, doubledecker crossovers, full metal waveguides/basket rings. For 2.200€ per pair.
