Weird toys...
I gave up wearing watches when I got the wristband across a high-current supply that made it glow red-orange and burned a big hole in my wrist. Oops.

... and that's why I wear a rubber watch and have for decades.
As a added bonus they don't scratch stuff or cause shirt cuffs to fray.
