After reading the critical music track post, I realized that a better way to evaluate components is with tracks that challenge equipment with harshness and complexity. Being able to tease out detail without fatigue is my goal. I recognize the room plays a bit factor, but some components are considered to be very forgiving. What tracks or albums to do you recommend when testing gear?

I find that jangly 80s pop music can be quite challenging, like:
  1. The Smiths "This Charming Man"
  2. The Pretender "Back on Chain Gang"
  3. Tom Petty "The Waiting"
Probably there are a lot from the psychedelic era too like Pink Floyd's "Bike".

Any others?
