Notification bell icon not working?

Is it my browser or did the red notification bell stop working?

Notifications working as usual [since the XenForo update] ...but it seems to have caused many old threads to show up in the RSS feed, many without new replies.

I'm seeing the issue on my phone too. Works sometimes. Then it doesn't work. I don't always see the little red box with the number.
