I’ve got one of the old ones, it also has a passive bass radiator due to the lack of LF area. The new Muo is also cheaper at recommended price here it’s £249 where as the original started off life at £299 although by the end it was being discounted to £150

All pretty typical of this size of speaker, I think it's almost universal to use PR for them, ports take up too much space, and maybe more importantly can take in water / dust.

Likewise discounts are very common in the space but KEF also likes to put things on sale, up to and including the LS60...

Correct, plus ports at those dimensions tend to make audible parasitic noises.
