I have a pair of Genelec 8350 atm.
Now I have seen 8341 as B-Stock for 4000 € /pair. Would you consider this an upgrade? Or should I rather go for two extra subs?
Reason is: The speakers are placed near the middle of the room, so bass response is down quite a bit. Putting them nearer to the front wall, the direct sound will be much less. My hopes are, I can place the 8341 for a better balance of both, response and direct sound.
Room is width depth height 5.2m(17ft) x 4m(13ft) x 3.2m(10ft) and a bit acoustic treatment. Two large bass traps in corners a and lot of filled bookshelfs for scatter
listening spot is in the middle of the back wall at 2.5m(8ft) distance
I really don't have to upgrade, really not. But I want to. I have got that itch.
