I've tried loading the images using a different hosting site but although I can edit the original post it gives me an error message when I try to save.

Most hosting sites have limits on bandwidth. Posting on ASR causes a lot of views, pushing you over the limit and you get those errors. I had to pay up to use Dropbox for the same reason.

That explains why they showed initially then vanished. I also posted them on two other sites, so even more views.

I don't think the D900 has a transparent cover, which is why I thought the DX9 Discrete, which is also wider than other Topping DACs. That'd fit with it being a prototype and being the only one in the UK as it's not on sale yet.

I demo'd the chip version of the DX9 and liked it, but I'm really waiting for a streaming DAC otherwise I may have bought it.

Anyway, what did you think of it?

I have found out it was the DX9D. So you are coeect.

It was driving a pair of Dan Clarke headphones. It sounded very good and I got to listen to a few familiar tracks. Mind you the headphones are hardly budget models but it was a great sound.

I am after a new DAC so it is on the list.
