Nominate Your Favorite Track of 2024 (Contest)

@amirm I suspect you wanted members to only post once in this thread. Couple of instances of members posting (different tracks) a couple of times. If you could clarify in OP it might be useful. Cheers

What about replying to other peoples' posts? Does that count as posting more than once in this thread? :)

It should be music that came out in 2024 but if nothing comes to mind, maybe you can post something older.
More notes are used in this older track than many musicians play in their lifetime... LoL. Enjoy! This is a song that needs to be listened to in it entirety and not blip through it with mouse clicks.

Very old - but while doing research on the history of Calcutta between 1971 and 2010, I stumbled over it in the beginning of this year: Immediately bought the CD, but Ravi Shankar outperforms the Rock Giants of the seventies.

What a marvel of an album. Have it in repeat these days.

My favorite track on it is

We clearly recognize the signature of Robert Smith, always this powerful atmosphere faithful to his compositions.
I regret that Jason's drum parts are too compressed in the mix while Boris Williams had a sharper playing.

Such a distinct voice, excellent singer and very nice composition with an attractive build-up. Sivert Høyem - The Rust.

Natalie Merchant’s “Come on, Aphrodite”. It is a modern hymn inspired by Lucretius opening of De Rerum Naturae, it is impeccably recorded, and the two voices, Merchant’s and Koomson-Davis’s, are similar but subtly different, to help evaluate your hearing discriminatory abilities and the quality of your speakers’ tonality.

Not the most meaningful or dazzling song, but I don't listen to much new music and this still hit me in the feels.

This is the first time I heard this song and to say I was deeply moved would be an understatement of the year. Unfortunately, we lost our dog the day before yesterday and to come across this song... I just didn't expect it.
I thank you for this.
