Off-contest, I guess, cause this December it was 2 years since this album's release - dutch organist's Geerten Liefting's "Couleurs Mystiques", the most astonishing part of which (for me) are the Trois Pieces op. 29 by Gabriel Pierné. Big lover of Baroque music myself, I never really thought romantic music can sound this noble. For me this cycle is truly a poeme harmonique

And who wrote the song?
Stevie WinWOOD...

Fully sampled. In the best way. :)

And I love Steve Winwood too. I often wonder whether the royalties were there or he just sold more albums because of the Eric Prydz track. Win. Win.

Country-infused music is popular now in Sweden. This one for example:

Spotify wrapped is here!

The streaming service has summarized the past year and summed up the Swedes' taste in music.
The most played song in Sweden in 2024 is "A bar song (tipsy)" by the American artist Shaboozey.

It is ok: :)

Not my usual genre (punky) but this song just smacked me between the eyes - painful, raw, beautiful song dealing with loss;
(Everything and Nothing, by Soft Play)

There's an ATMOS version of this that sounds awesome on Apple music. The whole album is good! No soloists running around your head or instruments behind you. Just killer 3D sound as if you're in the room with them. (I can't stand over-done Atmos mixes).
Wouaaa being a drummer for many years : absolutely groovy track ))

A funny one - but got lots of play this year for sure! Still makes me lol.

I was listening to music from Agnes Obel and came across the soundtrack album Foe. Through this album i learned about Park Jiha. A South-Korean artist using traditional instruments in a minimalist composition. The traditional Korean instruments provide a distinctive atmosphere.

@amirm I suspect you wanted members to only post once in this thread. Couple of instances of members posting (different tracks) a couple of times. If you could clarify in OP it might be useful. Cheers

Her voice, the tone, the mixing really got me on this one, in a style of music that hasn't been posted so far, kinda indie r&b. We all love our music so much, that's the root of our love for HiFi, we should really come up with fresh concepts of music sharing on this site.
