ONUKA & NAONI - Interval Act at Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final 2017

It's a pretty old one, but I heard it for the first time last year.
Interestingly, YouTube suggested it to me as electronic music, but, in fact, there are sopilka, trebita, bugay, bandura, tsymbaly, and other old Ukrainian folk instruments...

According to Spotify my most played track of 2024 was 'Jack's Neap Tide' by Fred Frith from the rerelease/reimagining of his 1974 album 'Guitar Solos - Fifty'.

This isn't it:

Hey bluefuzz, thanks so much for posting this! It reminds me of Raymond Scott. I love early experimental electronic music.

Really found this track awesome

I found it awesome too. It's my 2nd favorite from Ghost's 2015 Meliora album, the first being "He Is". The thing that makes that record so great is that they expressed the values of 70's and 80's hard rock, like Sabbath, Ozzy, and Deep Purple. And it was recorded at a now defunct studio in Sweden, the name escapes me right now. I had hoped for a follow up to this album in the same vein, but sadly Ghost changed their whole approach, although they do still product a few good things now and then, like Square Hammer and Call Me Little Sunshine. Anyways, thanks for posting this awesome track!

The musicians in this group are really talented and so metronomic... they have always impressed me

I really love it, moreover when the pizzicato lurk between the bow struck

Turn up the stereo and jam along!

I am addicted to this woman's voice (Song So-hee / 송소희):

I'm late to the party with these girls but they have got some swagger (XG):

where can I see who one? Guess Armir just wanted to give a present to himself?

Impressive list of songs. I've been reading reviews for years but was compelled to join as a member so I could rise to Amir's challenge. Hope you like it.

I just remembered this thread by seeing it in my bookmarks, and I don't know what happened. I think the guy who won it got banned so he couldn't get the prize, I'm thinking it's just been abandoned. Would have been good if the next popular one won.

Is there a single music track that really captured your heart in 2024? For me, this was it: the cover song by David Gilmour's daughter, Romany Gilmour: Between Two Points. I especially like this tour rehearsal video. The bass is distorted but the vocals are well recorded, highlighting the calm and beautiful voice of Romany:

The guitar segment at the end by David is a superb bonus, clearly demonstrating his mastery of the instrument.

Post your favorite song (NOT album). Members will vote with Like button. Whoever gets the highest number of likes, myself excluded, will get a gift from me come January 2nd. I will tally the results on the new year.

EDIT: Please only nominate one track.

EDIT: Competition has ended but feel free to still post tracks for member enjoyment.

I like the song too, and i notice it is one of few songs that work with speaker and studio room simulation good and vocal is not hear as it is in head. I use realphones 2 it have a 41 day demo. the headphone doesnt matter, the out of head and in front location work always. with many other songs work not. i test the other demos from waves and sennheiser algo, it give also no better results. it is important for such stuff that the reverb that is use in the mix need follow some rules. but what the rules are, i did not find out . it is mostly for headphones but on speaker in nearfield sound good too as in a larger room and not so near.

settings i use are this. this give for me the best location and not much changes in frequency changes. version number i use is 2.2.0 . it is also usefull if think after some hearing it sound as in head, hear the original some second and then hear this version

(quick aside: for music listening I doubt any of this generic stuff works well. If you want it to work well then you need to use something like the Smyth Realiser or Impulcifier Project and measure frequency response sweeps with mics in your ears so it's all related to your own HRTF. Anything else is gonna be a crap shoot and you're probably just muddying up the music and frequency response of your headphone.)

oh yeah, i forgot this thread already...

will listen/test hd490 pro with these songs

i have read that, but simple tests help to verify this theory if possible usefull put microphone in ear and measure. Wy can bend the ear from back to front so that it is in front of the ear entrance. can hear that FR of hear change alot, but distance location work same as before. ? I have written in this hrtf thread. so if you answer then here https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...f-for-headphone-use.3962/page-12#post-2325540
