I only became aware of the pianist Angela Hewitt late this year. She is well known for her multiple recordings of the Well Tempered Clavier and the Goldberg Variations of Bach. She managed to record three generously filled CDs of the music of François Couperin. I never thought anyone could make sense of this harpsichord music on the modern piano, but she does it and brilliantly at that:
