Noise on Fosi audio k5 pro mini with Truthear Zero Red

I saw about moondrop dawn pro too, serms to be good. I don’t know which one to buy
We cant make the decision for you. Personally I would just use the Apple dongle on anything that it can power. Which is pretty much all IEMs.

There is no magic to be had from a more expensive dac/amp unless the Apple cant provide enough power. Which it most definitely can for the Truthear Zero.

I don’t have the apple dongle, only the charger
OK, sorry to be jump in late...

So if you're hearing a hiss, it could be your USB-C cable.
If you're connecting to an older model iPhone you need a USB-C to Lighting cable. (Apple makes them)
That could help.

Not a lot of good DACs for under $50.00 but if you were to look at around the $100 price range there are a couple like the Onix Alpha, which may have issues if you're not using an iPhone. Some phones are finicky.

Get another DAC. Plenty of quality out there for not much money, as in less than $100. Check the review data base here. Often some good deals on Drop.

I have the Red Zeros via a USB out from a very old desktop computer into an old iFi amp/DAC. Dead silent. Sounds stupendous. Red Zero and your ear require the right sizing of the silicone tips. I think the bigger tip the better, though that should not be a hiss thing, just an overall sound factor thing.

Hiss in 2025 = no good = unnecessary.
