The problem with numbers on the economy is that these small countries all have a high proportion of GDP imported and exported. The same aplies to the Netherlands, and probably even more so. Going from memory, we export some 60% of what we produce, so if foreign demand tanks, there is little we can do, however good (or bad) our health policies may have been. Germany is our largest market, but the UK is also a big one, and the combined effect of the high Covid19 incidence and their self inflicted Brexit harm will hurt our exports.
At least Germany is in good hands.

National export % figures are totally misleading in comparison to other countries; I wonder if there is a table of % export v. population. If you treat each state in the US as a stand-alone country (remember, many states have population over 10 million) I their export % (including to other states) will be much higher than the US total figure (export only to other countries).

Your English is fine, but you are creating a straw man version of the issue. The value of the Lancet is not derived of its ownership, but the process of scientific peer review that its content is subjected to. If you want to argue that treatments that have been evidenced to have saved millions of lives are not in fact worthwhile, or even dangerous, you must produce evidence in the form of peer reviewed studies to show that. To do otherwise is to behave as if the last 300 years of human progress haven’t happened which is forgivable in some where like Taliban administered Afghanistan where people have no choice, but not for hypocrites like you who are happy to be have the benefit of living in a developed society until you have to give something back by actually thinking. I have a suggestion, why don’t you go and spend a few hours talking to the parents of a 4 year old who died of a preventable disease and then come and lecture us on medical ethics. Ignoramus.
