Nice turntables. Attached picture is an absolute requirement.

€8,000 not available in the US?
It is listed on the US website so I think it should be available there too.

Oz retail is A$8999, so Euro 8000 sounds steep!

New addition. Nice original Yamaha YP 701

Now the hobby side of this 'music reproduction thang' is receding now, I'm looking back on my stash of old, mostly auto turntables, with great fondness (ultimater fidelity be damned!!! ;) )

I bought the basics of this Rega P3-2000 model some years back, sold initially as a tatty plinth with everything missing except its suspect hub and bearing. Industry friends donated most of the parts to restore it to proper working order and once a mint used RB300 arm was bought last autumn, i recently completed the rebuild and fitted a Carbon pro pickup (AT91 with elliptical stylus tracking at 2g or so). Even compared to 'digital,' it's a marvel and I'm delighted - none of the 'added bloom' we felt was 'better' in a pre Cirkus LP12, yet this Rega 'plays tunes' in the bass nonetheless and with the mid level belt, it runs at the right speed as well!

Oh yes I forgot about my bed room player,
Bit of a odd sort of unit,
Sony ps-230, it's a Idler drive from the early 70s,
Strange sony should make Idler drive units but there you are,
That's the matching str-6055 receiver, I run sony ss-7300 speakers, they have the ulm drivers, sealed enclosure, great sounding,

This is very nice. Is this your set up? I've been thinking about having a TT close to my couch so I can change records for years now, but I always knew this entails bringing the amp closer as well since the TT cable shouldn't be longer.
I have a separate APT/Holman Preamp. I run the TT leads into it's phono in section and then run one of the pair of pre-out's through normal 12FT. interconnects to one of the line in's on the second APT/Holman preamp with the amp stack.
This solves (in my case) having the TT on the left side of the fireplace (on top of 2 stacked record box cabinets) and the rest of the gear on a table on the right side of the fireplace.

I finally got myself a nice turntable and my first MC cart. I’m 54 years young and have been collecting records since the 2nd grade but I always used a budget table. I ordered an Ortofon 2m Bronze and an Audio Technica VM740 as well, gonna have some fun comparing. I am really enjoying how helpful a Waxwing is.

I’m just grabbing a couple photos from a European audio show report I was perusing, but I find the turntable in these two photos to be quite beautiful. Really nice wood for the plinth:

Micro Seiki had some really nice designs - the RX 1500 and DDX 1500 are two of my favourites- just a shame the DDX seems to have a underspecced motor otherwise I’d be using that as my deck.

I don't think the Fiio TT13 has been discussed on ASR. It probably isn't very good sounding (there is likely a reason decks aren't usually made out of a slab of metal), but it looks sharp in a modern kind of way, and is fully automatic with a choice of AC or DC power (useful for people off the grid or with noisy power). Moving heavy objects is expensive. Trees just felled are filled with water. As the water leaves, they crack. Still they are heavy.

For the ultra wealthy who can pay movers to transport and position heavy objects comes the solid wood block.

The new Denon does look really nice - and it looks like it matches your woodwork perfectly

Thanks, aesthetics and wanting to touch metal were my main drivers over the Technics 1300g. I find the Technics beautiful in a different way, I waffled for awhile.
