Nice pictures of your audio setup

CLC65 nearfield surround setup, had these for a couple months now. New purifi tweeter is very nice. The dispersion chararistics makes the usual nearfield sweetspot much less prononced. Can also turn subs off without feeling like I'm missing out.

Isn't that too close? Are you not listening in the driver integration zone?

I did ask gato prior to purchase about minimum listening distance, they replied 1.5-2m. They are 1.55m apart and I listen from 1.4m~ from each speaker so its not terribly close. Gato also gave the go ahead of mounting the speakers on its side if I wanted more placement options.

I knew I was kinda cutting it close so the backup plan was to use these as rears in my surround setup and have them support low end through dirac ART but I kinda feel in love with the purifi tweeter voicing...

If you shift in your seat, do you hear spectrum changes?

I feel with purifi its much more forgiving? esp vertically. Compared to original March Sointuva which used the BlieSMa T25A-6 tweeters & same purifi midrange woofer.

So, to confirm, you do not hear changes in tone as you shift your head or move in your seat, slouch or sit up?

Well if you move enough (which isn't very much at all considering nearfield) but I am not nearly as stressed in staying at the sweetspot as before.

Got a new 'tv' cabinet in the living room. A USM Haller knock-off. Pretty happy with the way it looks and the more open nature compared to the double-layered Ikea Kallax setup I had before means it actually sounds better as well. :D

I’ve never heard of them/the company/the design before so had a look online…….……:oops:….. I don’t think they’re designed for my disposable income ;),

Nice, I hadn't been aware of lookalike products. Had been considering USM, though I'd probably be buying it in smaller pieces, like 1/3rd of what you've got.

Yeah same here. This would be a €2500-3000 cabinet in the original but this one was about €800 delivered from China.

Now I've seen the originals up close, and they are definitely nicer, this one still looks great and works well enough for me. I could even rebuild it in the future into something else.
This one seems to be made by Zhenye furniture and here's their Alibaba page. They seem pretty open to custom orders with MOQs of 1. No affiliation btw.

Of course, what you're paying for with the original is a much higher resale price and guaranteed backwards compatibility. And they certainly have some great looking parts if you have the money for it. The Leica x USM Cine Collection with its built in automatic projector screen and short throw projector is a gorgeous piece of kit. But there is a reason why they only allow enquiries and don't post a price. :P

I am looking at their modular furniture and getting ideas for stuff that I do not need but would quite like ;)
 
Added some art I picked up last month in South-Korea by artist Tree 13 (나무13).

I need to shoot some better pictures of the light I added behind the cabinet as well. It looks a little overblown in this image but I added an addressable Hue OmniGlow lightstrip on the back. It's a RGBWWIC (Red, Green, Blue, Warm White, Cool White, Independent Control) with a diffuser that would even make it possible to put it right in view while still showing an uninterrupted bar of light. <3
