Newbie sub integration question

Hello everyone! I’ve recently assembled what I believe to be a lovely two channel setup for music listening. The primary components in order of connections are as follows: Eversolo DMP-A8 preamp/streamer, RCA outs to left and right JL Audio E110 subwoofers (x2), RCA out of subs to Rotel RB-1582 MkII amp, then speaker wire out to Focal Aria Evo X No3 floor standers. That’s a mouthful but I figured best to provide the details.

My question is what would be best practice and order of events to integrate the subs? The Eversolo doesn’t have sub outputs so I’m assuming there is no included software that can get the timing (is it called alignment or phase?) synched up with the mains. All of my previous home audio and stereo setups have included room correction with separate sub outputs, which has been quite helpful when integrating a stand alone subwoofer. The JL subwoofer provides some instruction on setting the phase by ear which I have zero confidence in me getting that right. Hopefully my question makes sense, as I’m a newb here.

Many thanks.

Hi @Gingerkid! Welcome to ASR.

Correct. The A8 is a pure Stereo device, so it cannot send different signals to your Subs and Mains.

The only controls you can use for sub integration are those built into your JL subs.

What you could do to add sub integration features is to buy a miniDSP 2x4 HD, do A8->SPDIF->2x4 Line out 1+2->JL subs and 2x4 Line out 3+4->Rotel Amp.

Note though that you'd have to configure the integration yourself.
miniDSP have a library with excellent guides on this process, but there is no automation.
