I was a resident of Saipan for 16 years. When I arrived there (Oct. 1 2003) there were 12 women for every man there.
I had never been married. But, at the age of 48 (in July of 2005) I got married there. In about 3 weeks we will have been married 21 years.
Many of the 24 people that I worked with there, most that were not already married, got married there before I did.
Some got divorced from the wife they already had when they arrived and got re-married there.
I've been told that there is something in the water there that causes that to happen.
We who experienced that, know it's not true.
The 12 to 1 ratio is no longer true.

I have to wonder, when audio stores use rooms this narrow to demo equipment, how you can be assured they are maintaining a flat response given all the wall reflections they are clearly having to deal with. I see a lot of treatment there, but mostly for higher frequencies (?), and I appreciate that it's easy these days to mic your room and use DSP to correct for a fairly flat in-room response, but without some kind of de-convolution algorithm, wouldn't the early reflections still unacceptably muddle the sound?

I have been in this business for over 20 years, selling systems just like this, and I can tell you it is far, far more common that people put their systems in whatever room they have available, not this perfectly ratio'd and designed room that you people have in your head. Dedicated listening rooms with engineered acoustic treatments to the degree many of you here think is required are absolutely the minority, definitely

At 15' wide that is a bit narrow for a speaker this size but I suspect that Santa Monica, CA dealer has a good sized client list of listeners that can afford a close to 1 million $ speaker, and the appropriately sized/treated room for it. So they present it in the room they have, very heavily treated BTW, with a good tale spinner to sell it to them.

I'm sure no offense meant. Most here think the whole Wilson thing is ridiculous no matter where they are placed.

Just for the sake of discussion, those panels with the horizontal slots that wrap all around the room are some type of diffusion-absorption panels "I think"? Also the ones with the square blocks at different heights are again diffusers. How well this would affect reflections I'm not sure, in any case I'm sure they are expensive, have a high profit margin, and have a good sales story to go with them.
