It would appear that Wiim has launched their brand new WIIM CI MOD A80 Network amplifier based on a TPA3255 / ESS ES9018K2M chip.

I'm not convinced it's a revolution compared to the Wiim Amp Pro and Ultra, but this new Wiim is available on Audiophonics.

Looks like a CI model (which I take to mean Custom Installation), optimized for dedicated install applications with a focus on system flexibility and integrator-friendly features.

I don't think it's a new model. It's a new item in Audiophonics' offer and that's probably why it's marked that way on their site.

I believe that is the point: the CI models are not at all new and have been announced back in 2024, probably explaining why internally it matches the WiiM Amp instead of the Amp Pro.

As pointed out in the WiiM forum, these appear to have a different WiFi/bluetooth board from the WiiM Amp and may not support AirPlay despite what audiophonics say
