New Trinnov CI - a new approach and pricing model from Trinnov

There is a hole in the front rack... hopefully Trinnov fills it with this latest shipment. The subs do just fine without a Trinnov or any AV processor. I hand aligned them in REW and generated only 5 PEQ filters that were put into the Xilica XD-4080 they are on. I can't afford enough channels for WaveForming all eight anyway :) Not bad for a 14x12 room.

If my lifestyle damaged brain remembers correctly, Kal fairly recently moved to new digs ?
Yo Kal, how about a rundown on your current multich rig, maybe even a few photos?
TIA, Sal

I just got a email from AV-Nirvana forums talking about the Trinnov roll-out of the new 10 Extended Care Plan. I at first thought, that's kool, for what Trinnov charges for their gear, a 10 year warranty is about right, Wrong. Then reading a little forward I found the extended option is something you have to apply and pay extra for. I don't know how much but, Dank Farrik, now they want more money to back your processors maintenance? :(
"While pricing has not yet been publicly detailed, Trinnov says rates for the Extended Care Plan will remain fixed through the end of 2026. Owners interested in enrollment or regional availability should contact an authorized Trinnov dealer."

Not new digs but highly renovated "old" digs as of mid-2024.

We are beginning a minor rehab of one bathroom and some additional lighting on Tuesday.
Also expecting delivery of the Trinnov CI and some associated stuff within the month. Unfortunately, no wave forming possible.
Mebbe soon.

Kool. Thanks for the response Kal. We'd love to have a quick look-round of your rig when possible.
No measurements of any type required, just a few photos would be great!
Cheers

You and I suffer the same affliction I see :-)

The amount of headroom with an all pro audio based setup is outstanding, especially after you actively tri-amp the bed layer and cross to multiple subs. This peak was measured at the MLP during the Mad Max Fury Road intro. Using a cheap SPL meter, so the actual peak might even be higher... Suffice it to say, I'm too scared to turn it past -3dBFS in RME TotalMix, even though I hear no distortion at all.
