Hey ASR folks! Been absorbing your collective wisdom for years, figured it was time to contribute something back.
After spending two decades in the AV industry (and probably losing some hearing along the way from testing one too many line arrays), I thought it was time to finally join the conversation.

I've been in the trenches installing everything from modest stereo amps to beast-mode stadium systems (1500+ installs and counting). After countless CEDIA and AVIXA shows and endless hours comparing specs, I noticed we all face the same challenge: there's no quick way to compare amplifier specs and prices without opening 47 browser tabs and developing carpal tunnel syndrome.

So, I decided to do something about it. I've created amplifierprices.com, a straightforward comparison tool that lets you quickly browse and filter hundreds of amplifiers based on their key specs: power output (advertised and tested), THD, SNR, special features, prices, etc.

What makes it different is that everything's consolidated in one place, so you can say goodbye to tab juggling. The platform focuses on the specs that matter most, with simple filtering to narrow down options for your specific project needs, no reviews or trying to convince you what's better. I've already included hundreds of models, and the database keeps growing.

I want to make this truly useful for our community. I'd love to hear which brands you'd like to see added, what specs or features should be included in the comparison, and any suggestions to make this more useful for your workflow.

This is just the beginning, and I'll keep expanding the database. Consider this an open beta, your feedback will help shape it into something we can all use.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Thanks! I'll add those to the database.

That’s an excellent idea you’ve come up with!

Proposing the addition of:
  • Form factor (rack-mounts, feet, full-size residential, 43 cm, etc.)
  • Dimensions
  • Weight
  • Cooling solution (passive/active)

Thank you for the feedback! It's interesting you mention dimensions and weight. I initially considered including these in the database but decided against it as I rarely found them to be primary decision factors in my specification process. Has this been a crucial factor in your workflow when specifying amplifiers? I'd be curious to hear your perspective on this.

Hi Freddy,

We have a Global reach. While we ASR are a U.S. run site. We have a very large population of people from Europe and Asia. One of the first questions when someone is looking for new kit. Like an Amp. Is it available in the UK, or Turkey or Indonesia and Singapore. If this is something that is possible for you. Consider adding a “Available in Region” flag/sort.

Welcome Aboard @freddysampayo .

Page is not loading on my iPad.

Update: it seems to work with Safari, which is not my usual browser.

I’m a little put off by the amp power ratings, and the resulting price per watt.

First thing I noticed is the Wiim amp Pro costs ten times as much as the Fosi V3. I doubt if that is realistic. I doubt if the cheap class D amp power specs are real.

Same here. It doesn’t work with iOS. Maybe a PC focused version and an iOS version will come later.

Thanks i noticed that it takes a lot of time loading on google chrome on iOS. The page only shows when all the data is loaded into memory. I'll take a look at how to load data in parts

Sure, this is something I have planned.

Hi Freddy

Yes, I can see how the dimensions could be helpful for those who already have a rack or components and want to ensure the new amplifier fits properly.
As for weight, it’s likely less important.
