Good morning, I'd like some opinions on subwoofers; I don't have much experience with them.

Well, I have a pair of LSX II Wireless in my office with a Kube 8e sub.

It's the only sub I've bought so far.

My main setup has two BW804s and two Kef R3 Metas, both connected to a McIntosh 6800 and a Cambridge EVO 150. This setup doesn't have a sub. I took this Kube 8e and put it in this room for testing. I felt a little more bass presence. I left the crossover in the 70/80 range and the volume at mid-range.

Well, I was thinking about getting a better sub for this space. I wouldn't want something too big. At first, I considered the KC62 or KF92, but I think they're too big. Then I started looking and talked to my local supplier. He only has the SVS 3000 Micro for testing; he wouldn't have the KEFs to compare. I'd practically have to buy one and take a chance. First, I'm wondering if a KC62 would be significantly different from a Kube 8? From what I've read, yes. But what if I were to buy the SVS 3000 Micro versus the KC62? What would that be like?
The prices here are around $1,500 for the KC62 and around $1,800 for the SVS 3000 Micro. I know the SVS has app controls, etc., while the KEF is all manual. What do you think? Thanks.

How big is your room, volume wise? Is it mostly closed or pretty open?

I don't think an app makes much difference once you have things set up, but it helps when setting it up. SVS has some DSP to roll off the bass and 3 (I think) PEQ settings, which might or might not be useful in a given room/system.

Thank you for your reply. My living room is approximately 60m2 (I don't know how much it would be in square footage). But I see that the price of SVS in Brazil is practically double that of KEF, which is cheaper in Brazil than in the US. I don't understand how they manage this... but it's our reality. I don't use these systems for movies or TV, just for only music.

Do they sell RSL Speedwoofers there. Small powerfull subs and cheap, add a second if not enough punch, especially stacked, adds about 6db to the bass, not stacked 3db. Since I bought a Arendal 1723 2V monster my 4 RSLs are in storage but plan to unhook the Arendal and hook up my 4 RSLs to my 4 independent sub ports just to see what Dirac can do with 4 subs.

Coming back to this topic, I'm now in doubt whether to buy a KC62, or buy 2 units of SVS 1000 pro. Opinions

One SVS 100 Pro with its 12" driver will crush the KC62. I have had the KC62 in my home with the LSX II. The KC62 does integrate well and that is a plus. But, you have EQ in the SVS which you don't in the KC62. Other subs you will have to tweak a bit more, I also had the Kali WS-6.2 and Paradigm Element 10 in there as well with the LSX II. The Paradigm is there now but LSX II has been replaced. Both of these performed better than the KC62 with the exception of looks. I work in the industry and often try different products in my home frequently. I no longer have the LSX II but still currently using the Paradigm Element 10 Sub. I am selling the WS-6.2 if someone is interested it in the Western, Ma - Northern CT area. I'll list it in the classifieds soon.

If you are going to place the two subs to help smooth out room modes that is ideal! With the EQ in those subs and good placement, No brainer!

The KC62 will integrate much easier with KEF speakers than the SVS, the software integrating makes it very easy. You will very surprised with the KC62. I have a dual KC62 with LS 50 wireless II. I got rid of a SVS 2000 Pro and replaced it with the dual KC62s.

Online advice can be contradictory :)

My free advice is unless you have sophisticated bass management and know how to use it and are going to get big strong sub(s) (like 18" ) I would not bother. Your room is pretty big and small subs will distort like crazy if there is any content below 40 Hz and you try to play loud. Rolled off bass sounds better than distorted bass. I have 2 SVS SB3000 I am looking to get rid of and while SVS "seems" like they integrate easy with their cool app the reality is their DSP and latency and heavy handed EQ ( to make specs look better) makes good integration very difficult.

I don't think it is necessarily contradictory. The SVS will pay louder before distortion, but I found it really difficult to integrate the sub. My use case is music 50% and TV 50%, but I don't really care about that subsonic low end rumble/shake in movies. My music listening is max 80-85db at about 2.5 meters and the integration with the KEF speakers (specifically KEF wireless speakers) and the app is very easy AND is easy to change settings when needed.

Hello OP @Abdo,
My post here #3 entitled "Summary of critical factors in integration of subwoofer(s) and main woofers in our individual acoustic environments" on the thread "Seeking advice on integrating two subwoofers with full-range stereo speakers with passive radiators" would be of your reference and interest, I assume.

"Better sub" needs to be better defined as otherwise somebody might be talking apples while you are thinking cherries. Subs are defined by many parameters but some of the key ones are SPL and frequency response - which will in turn also show distortion at various SPLs and frequencies. You have a big room and need to tell us your expectations in terms of SPL, frequency response and distorition.

I have a tiny bit larger space, have 6x13.8" drivers and 4.4kW amps - 4 subs. A bit of overkill, but 2 were not cutting it for my needs which is 115dB peaks at 30hz. 3 might have done it but then 3 can't do 2x2 DBA.

The KC62 is the way to go. It’s TINY! A 250mm cube.
They’re designed to work seamlessly with KEF wireless speakers.
Setup with the KEF Connect app is dead simple.

I have 2 KC62s connected to my KEF LS60s.

First, I'm wondering if a KC62 would be significantly different from a Kube 8? From what I've read, yes.
I also have LSX and a KUBE 10b sub.
At first, I bought an 8b, but returned it for the 10b, because it was underwhelming.

I also tried the KUBE 10b with my LS60s for a couple of months to see if it was worth getting a sub.
Yes, but I replaced it with a KC62, which was much better.
Sound quality, soundstage opened, more detailed sound and MUCH deeper bass.
My wife noticed immediately!

KC62. No question.
