Hello,
Very interesting in dual mono use. But the lack of 12v Trigger at SMSL is really an important missing option for simplified daily use.
It certainly depends on how the amp reacts but this might ease up things:

Love the design of these! Two of these and the matching DAC would be a nice little stack. Any thoughts on how they might compare to purifi or hypex, I nothing of Gan Fet or this implementation.

Would like to see a more thorough measurment and explanation, SMLS own curves show low but not super low distortion and some weird kinks when distortion is rising and slightly wider bandwidth than typical class-D ?

Makes you wonder if they just moved the switching frequency higher and employing simpler filters and feedback solutions ?

Let s wait for the ASR measurements. )) we will be fixed ))

I check back daily, hoping a "cool audiophile" has them ordered, and will forward here for testing...The PA200's seem to offer a lot for the money...IDK, maybe the price is too high? At $840 a pair, as much as I want to try them but don't need them...I await others valiantly adopting early.

Hahaha yeah I've been checking back daily as well. For one they seem good value but for two I'm getting into purifi territory and don't know much about this tech. Hanging for some reviews as I absolutely love the look and would love a stack of them maybe with the matching DAC.

I’ve the cd player and it’s a solid, good sounding unit. I also own a Technics GX-70, which is GaN, eArc, streaming, ect…. I’d sure like to hear the
monos on my Musician Knight 1s, now driven by a Topping PA-7+. The GX-70 is clean as a whistle and I am really loving its pre out into a nicely outfitted
Mystere PA-11 tube amp. A surprisingly good/great match, all the upsampling and clean extended detail gets passed right along. The GaN amp also
possesses a dimensional/spatial uniqueness that’s hard to give up and sounds good with most any speaker I’ve tried. A pair of Elac DFRs would be a nice match also.
I love streaming online radio thru the GX unit, it’s really special, fast, clear, in the room. GaN amps, at least the Techniques I’ve heard, have a sound and presentation
that will make one stop and take note. They can sound very ‘out of speaker’. Preamp matching would be an interesting exercise…

The PL200? If so do you have real world pics of it, trying to see what the silver finish is like in real life. Also does the build quality look and feel nice?

Yep. That's me out. Such a basic thing to leave out.

Yeah that seems weird, is it possible that they have signal sensing inputs?

Can somebody more knowledgeable than me explain how the amp can go from 85W (8 Ω) in Stereo to 250w in Mono? Looks very strange.

Also, love power consumption 40W at "Normal Volume" :)

Power is V squared (VxV)/R. In BTL voltage is doubled so, in theory, you can have 4x power.

Similar to LA90.

Re: the vid above - all very well tarting up that old Thorens deck from the early 70s, but I wonder how knackered the main bearing thrust pad is as I suspect all are now as mine was, yet there it is with inappropriate record weight on top of the spindle.... Being an anal turntable bod of some fifty five years standing, the dinky CD transport kind of passed me by and again, it's a top loader with weight/puck to keep the disc in place :D

As you were, as you were - shambles off into the distance mumbling away...
