The new seas T27GL001-DXT looks pretty interesting. Apparently the Kii audio speakers use glass domes.
Measures really well to my eye. Also very high sensitivity which is handy

Maybe it is just me but have you guys checked the distortion curve?
1% still at 4kHz? And below that even more horrid
That is way too high in my book, for a tweeter - especially at this price point

yeah the textreme satori kills it really in all aspects - i just thought glass was interesting.

It is at 94dB at one meter other same size dome tweeter perform about the same. Like all hard membran speakers the decay is very good as a downside you got the membran resonance.

I'm sure it sounds great on it

... and come to think of it* -- what would playin' some Ella do to these tweeters?

I'm mad I missed my opportunity to become a staple driver manufacturer so I could convince people $540 for a dome tweeter is worth it.

Measures well except for a bunch of short waterfall hash...reflections in the faceplate and grille?
The sensitivity...not high compared to big waveguides I *think* but compared to flat face tweeters? I do like how the response droops towards the high frequencies but dispersion is more constant, because you could use Audyssey or something to flatten it (or not, kinda like a house curve) but you can't EQ narrowing dispersion.
Finally, a speaker driver that is truly transparent.
We SEE what you did there  bad dog!!

Personally I think a glass dome will have a sound that is too brittle...
