Thanks for helping me. I disconnected the DAC from all signal sources, from sound sources. Disconnected from Wiim pro. Disconnected from the computer. Just a naked DAC. Only the DAC itself without anything. DAC power only. I supplied 5 volts to the DAC. First from a switching power supply. Then I tried to apply from a power bank. I connected a multimeter to the RCA outputs. When the DAC was turned on, when switching inputs on the DAC, the multimeter showed DC voltage surges at the RCA outputs. on one channel 3 volts, on the other channel 3.3 volts. If you connect acoustics through an amplifier, these bursts produce pops in the speakers. 2 claps. Almost simultaneously. These pops and DC bursts are always going on. Regardless of whether there is a source of signal, sound, or no signal. But I'll try the headphones tomorrow. The DAC is definitely the source of the pops. Without a doubt.I tried everything you wrote. Except for the headphone test.I think I got a bad deal! Defective item.
