New RME ADI-2 Pro EX DAC

The labels are perfectly fine.
You can find a thread titled "ADI-2/4 as Active crossover" in the RME forum; that should answer your questions.

Well that's my concern.
The ADI-2/4 Pro SE has independent outputs on the back.
This ADI-2/4 Pro EX appears to have coupled outputs like the standard ADI-2 models.

There is no ADI-2/4 Pro EX. Only ADI-2 Pro EX, which is a basically a ADI-2 Pro re-issue and has nothing to do with the ADI-2/4 Pro.

There is. It is just not released yet. Read my last two/three posts here, the ADI-2/4 Pro EX was showcased at High Ende Vienna and the first drivers for it are already downloadable on RME's Website.

That screw you see on the back is part of the new USC-C lockable cable, not a phono ground screw.

As you have also written all the manuals in the ADI series and can therefore adapt them very easily, there will be technical improvements (reduced heat build-up, etc.) as well as new features.

A lot of work for you, but an exciting prospect for potential buyers.

A practical idea – from the ADI-2/4 PRO EX model onwards:
The back of the ADI series remote controls is labelled. It would therefore be possible, at very low one-off cost, to add the following to this labelling:
An illustration showing how to insert the battery
Which battery types are permitted (as far as I know, there are three).

You only realise the advantage of this solution when the battery is flat and you don’t have the user manual or the internet to hand.

There is no need to show that. First the battery holder is designed in a way that makes it easy to see how to place the battery. It doesn't fit right when placed the wrong way. But more importantly you might have overlooked that the polarity is shown on that holder. A + sign (together with the battery type) is engraved into the plastic.
 
I'm really looking forward to the ADI-2/4 Pro EX. I've decided that this will be my next converter, so I'm waiting rather than buying the current model.

What I'm most curious about now is the pricing. Has anyone heard anything from dealers or distributors about the expected price or availability?

It's interesting that RME has already introduced the ADI-2 Pro EX, and there have also been comments on the official RME forum suggesting that the ADI-2/4 Pro EX is on the way. That makes the wait even harder.

For me, RME's long-term driver support, stability and engineering are the main reasons I'm willing to wait. Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer.

No, it's not available. Also you can check the manual they already uploaded and there's no RIAA keywords in it.

You could use the internal EQ to replicate the RIAA filter. There are posts in the RME forum that address this. However, you will not get around the problem of impedance matching. I don't know the exact input impedance of the 2 Pro, but I highly assume it is not sufficient for a match with a MM cartridge
 
Thought that was likely the case. I’ll start saving for the new EX version of the 2/4 then. Useful facility to have for archiving vinyl with a tad more accuracy.
 
For some reason, Japanese manuals for the ADI-2 Pro FS and later models haven't been released. I'd like RME to release a PDF version of the Japanese manual as well.
